This heart warming news is from a small Village in Sikar, Rajasthan where some of the daily wages Labourers, were kept in quarantine in a Government School Building. On seeing the not-so-good condition of the School Building these Labourers requested the Sarpanch of the Village to provide them with paints, brushes and other necessary stuff. On being provided with all these stuff, they immediately started their efforts of transforming the School Building. They said that they were fed for free, and therefore they wanted to contribute back in some way .

WHY MANUFACTURING WILL NOT MOVE FROM CHINA TO INDIA

For Chinese manufacturing to move here, manufacturing here has to become as easy and convenient as it is in China. Other countries like Indonesia, Philipines, Vietnam etc are quite competitive too and are gunning for the business. What they can’t make up for in infrastructure, they do with policy.

We fail on both counts.

Indonesia has already won the battle over Southeast Asian countries as the main destination for the relocation of US factories. President Joko Widodo made a very fast movement to seize almost all US companies from China. Huge incentives including freeing up land for 5 years and holding direct talks with the President of the United States and all heads of US companies is one of the ways taken to succeed in seizing US multinational companies.

Trump decided to relocate around 27 US factories from China to Indonesia. The conflict between USA and China has greatly benefited Indonesia.

MEANWHILE, OUR BUGBEARS

  • Our transport infrastructure sucks.

The Chinese have 5700 bullet trains crisscrossing their country. They’re busy building another 1000 more. That means not only can they access cost-effective rural workforce, they can also quickly create ancillary industrial zones. We have Zero Bullet Trains.

  • They’re the second biggest aviation market in the world with over 500 operational airports.
  • The Chinese don’t have a customs desk. It’s all electronic.
Our ports take a week to clear a container. Avg.
  • Our internet bandwidth leaves much to be desired. They’re already moving to the next level with a single app interface for all public services including hailing cabs and paying money online. We struggle with payment failures, cancelled transactions and app libraries.
  • Our income tax rates are some of the highest in the world. China has income tax slabs as low as 2%.
  • Our share in world exports is a little above 2%.
Our total GDP = China’s total exports.
China’s agri GDP almost = our total GDP
  • On top of all these are the various policy slippery slopes AND bureaucracy.

SOLUTION

  1. Make agriculture & manufacturing possible in India for Indian manufacturers first. A foreigner will come invest here only when an Indian is happy doing business here.
  2. Yet, Those foreign businesses which could move here are the ones who have a market here.
  3. Some sectors which could entice foreign investments are where we have surplus or capabilities and yet import such as coal, edible oils, pulses, jewellery, electronics and defence goods. Our GDP is 225 lakh crores. Our import bill is in excess of 10% of our GDP.

Coal import bill 50,000 crores
Edible oil import bill 45.000 crores
Pulses import bill 11,000 crores
Crude Oil import bill 500,000 crores
Gold & Jewellery import 242,000 crores
Electronics imports 400,000 crores
Defence equipment imports 300,000 crores
Education forex bill 500,00 crores.
Organic Chemicals, Iron & Steel 200,000 crores

That’s almost 21,480,000 Crs of a market which CAN be retained back in India!

On top of this, if the exchange rate shifts by a rupee to the dollar the import bill goes up by 2800 crores per Rupee fall.
Our currency doesn’t appreciate much against the dollar due to inflation.

  1. Address the Food leak!

The FCI leakages are to the tune of 46%. All the free grains that the sarkar announces. Approximately half don’t reach the intended beneficiary’s. There are several instances such as this. Bharat Sarkar is very profligate.

The centres subsidy bill for food and fertiliser alone is 220,000 crores. People still go hungry.

Time to privatise agriculture & allow for contract farming, Warehousing & cold storages, food processing. Invite Amazon & Walmart to fix these problems as the Indian state is an exercise in failures.

  1. Privatise all PSU’s or allow for Free market competition.
  2. Bring the Japanese banks to bear on building infrastructure. Don’t ever forget, how we picked up 28000 crores to build the first MRT, Delhi metro and how we are cascading that to all cities now.
  3. A 100 bullet trains and a 1000 airports should provide for a good beginning. That’s what is required or is the need of the hour to generate demand.

The broad thrust of reforms that we have seen in the past 5 days have been very welcome.

Can this nation bite the bullet & go all the way?

Apple of My eye

Isn’t it true that we often tend to take those who truly love us for granted?

We don’t mean to be mean but we can sometimes act mean. Not because we don’t love them but probably because their ways of doing things don’t go along with our ways (doesn’t this happen so many times between young guys and their parents?)

And we only realise their value and how much they mean to us when we are disconnected from them for some reason or the other.

Never miss an opportunity to connect, to say a sorry, to reconcile, to express your affection and appreciation.

Why wait? Meet/call them today!

Grateful to All mothers

While I feel the pain of the migrants, it’s also imp to note that they decided to leave their places of work, just around the time the lockdown was easing in parts.
And this sudden exodus by all, incl on foot has to have been triggered. There are so so many organisations and NGOs offering food, that being hungry can only be due to lack of knowledge on where to go for food.
I agree it’s all easier said than done, but they too carry mobiles and have knowledge. Don’t know why would they want to return home?

Finally post the corona curve being reduced, trains started. Some managed to go home, but some states refused to allow them
Back. Bengal and jharkhand are examples.
Strange.
Earlier too, the govt org the trains with 85 pc of the fare borne by them and asked states to pay 15 pc. Instead of this fact, congress twisted it and announced that Modi wants migrants to pay thousands to travel and congress will pay the bill.
Well it’s a lie, but please pay na!!!
All talk only, as always.

And lastly, everyone is posting about migrants while I can say with surety that not even 1/2 pc of those people who post such sad posts on migrants, have ever bothered about them when they were working under such hard conditions in our city. We would hate them touching our cars too!!! Never offered them water earlier. Never food, never money.
Suddenly we say “so sad”
It all looks nice on social media.

I’m sorry, but for more than 99 pc, it’s just a post
And that’s the reality of India.
We are a country where most of us think only about ourselves. And it’s now engrained in our minds. Automatically, we think about ourselves and never about the other person.
This just creates more sorrow in a situation that already overflows with pain.
Sad

My topic is small life hacks.

My girlfriend was mad at me and wouldn’t answer my calls or texts. She went away for the holidays and I didn’t know how I was going to talk to her and I was really sad. My mom saw me suffering and said, “Find a photo of you together where she doesn’t look great and use it as a profile picture. She’ll text you right away asking you to remove it. Maybe, she’ll hate you, but at least you’ll talk.” It worked out. We talked and made peace. My mom is a genius!

Thank you Sridhargaru for the valueable insight on Holy scriptures, treasure of Sanatana Dharma!

Summary: scriptures classified as:.
Matter/truth – Holy scriptures, truth and indisputable.
Info about truth – God, permanence, describing creation.
Untruth – coming out due to ignorance of truth. Interpretation without thorough knowledge.

Vedas – 4 kinds. Contain knowledge about creator and creation, aspect of time, lokas, vedic gods, mantras, human & moral values, dharma etc. Vedas emerged after the 14 lokas were formed and Mt. Kailash emerged. Before human existence, Rudra his deities landed followed by maharishis, who did Tapas for centuries to uncover truth and were the actual ‘Seers’ of Vedas.
Maharishis categorized these homogeneously for humanity to utilize the knowledge. Vyasa Maharishi (descendant of Vishnu) compiled vedas. He dictated to Ganapathi to write them.
Vedas wee seen thru conciousness by Maharshis and also communicated thru concience with each other via meditation. As years passed, there was the need to be transmitted thru mind. Guru Parampara passed this along thru recitation and later the need for documentation.
Among many only some shakas are available today A lifetime falls short to read vedas. Therefore it is important to learn the essence and wisdom of vedas.

Key components;
Shastras – education of dharma, kriya, karma, rituals, code of conduct etc.
Aranyakas – explains reason behind each ritual.
Brahmans – commentaries on rituals.
Puranas – contain history and facts , is not fiction. 18 mahapuranas like ramayan, mahabharata etc..historical events of maharishis, kings and dharma.
Bramhasutras – talk about aspects of bondage, liberation, muklti and moksha.
Iham and param are both covered in dharma shastras for material living and after life.
Upanishads – 108. They describe pure spirituality referencing shakas of vedas. Covers concepts of spirituality and yoga.
BhagawadGita : Compendium of Upanishads. Can be called fifth veda. while all the above are given by maharishi, gita was given by God himself as a summary and approval of upanishads.
Patanjalisyogasutras : Amsa of Adisesha, he descended in Kashmir, did penance in south india spread knowledge of upanishads thru yoga for Aryans following Sanatana Dharma and he compiled all the yoga sutras for Tapas.
Vedantanta : while Vedas talks about how to live, vedanta is the end of Vedas where upanishads begin and talks about how to leave.
UttaraGita : Krishna preaching Arjuna about Yoga and sadhana for attaining truth.

Key takeaways:

  • follow a proven path Sanatana Dharma without digressing to avoid wastage of time.
  • Guru helps in imparting the essence and wisdom of Vedas in the shortest time and safest method without the disciple having to learn Vedas.
  • Trusting the divinity in Guru is the key. This disciplines budhi to follow a path.
  • Silencing thoughts arising in the mind allows vedic wisdom to spark in the concience.
  • to silence mind, disown thoughts. Reiterate to yourself you are the jeevatma and not the body/mind. See the body from the soul.
  • Guru could grace the knowledge of Vedas in a minute which takes lifetimes to gain otherwise, as was done by Rudra to Maharshi Parashara!🙏

I Love You ….

The misfortune of a British soldier left behind in China can give us valuable insight into how to better learn Spanish.

An Englishman who had been a soldier in the Second World War was left behind in the middle of Guangdong Province in China.

When discovered in the 1980s, he spoke fluent Cantonese. But his English was terrible with a limited vocabulary.

With no one around speaking English, he had to learn the new local language to survive.

He started off paying attention to what locals said when meeting each other or before leaving. Before long, he could say hello and goodbye.

Before long, he could say his name and so on.

Now, to improve your Spanish, you don’t need to abandon your life and get lost in a place where people only speak Spanish.

You can start small – ordering “un café solo, por favor” instead of ordering coffee in English.

Then, bit by bit, replacing your English words & sentences used in everyday life with their Spanish equivalents.

Learning a language is about small victories, where every single day you use more and more Spanish sentences and get understood.

It is about learning useful phrases… phrases you know you’re going to be able to use frequently.

It all comes down to priorities – learning words and phrases that will immediately help you communicate better.

And NOT wasting your time learning things that won’t help your Spanish improve.

This free cheatsheet contains 33 Spanish verbs that have been carefully selected to help you speak better Spanish in your daily life right away. They’re your “need to know” verbs.
They come with both example sentences and audio, to help you learn and commit them to memory!

Since 80% of Corona positive patients had no symptoms at all , leaves uncertainity for all of us!
Testing 130 crore population is next to impossible. Even if we test daily 100000 people, we will need over 35 years to just test!

This suggests …. our future is our immunity…. just like intel inside in computers, we have to inbuilt immunity inside!
